Extreme Operating Conditions With ShinMaywa US-2 Amphibious Aircraft
Powered by GE Aviation’s Dowty Propellers, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force’s fleet of ShinMaywa US-2 STOL search and rescue amphibian aircraft has been proven in extreme mission conditions, as demonstrated by a challenging rescue at sea during the summer.
Rolls-Royce has been awarded a $57.1 million contract to support AE 1107C engines for V-22 aircraft operated by the US Marine Corps and Air Force. The award, the final option year of a five-year MissionCare contract, includes repair and support services, with work carried out at Rolls-Royce facilities in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Oakland, California, as well as fleet support at customer bases.
