In a ceremony that took place Thursday at LIMA 2005, the first
A109 LOH was handed over to the Malaysian Army Aviation.
AgustaWestland was awarded a contract by the Malaysian Ministry Of
Defence for the supply of eleven A109 Light Observation Helicopters
(LOHs), together with an initial product support and training
package, in late 2003.
Bell Boeing delivered the first Block B version of the V-22
Osprey, Thursday, to the US Marine Corps in ceremonies at Bell's
manufacturing facility here. The Block B aircraft has software
upgrades, reliability and maintainability improvements over
existing V-22 aircraft.
A Canadian Coast Guard helo, an MBB 105, went down off
Newfoundland's Burin Peninsula on Wednesday. Two crewmen on board
are reported as having perished.
