Non-Instrument Pilot Was Killed August 30th Flying In Reported
Instrument Conditions
Preliminary information released by the NTSB in an accident
which occurred in Montana late last month indicated that the pilot
of the Cessna 182 was operating his aircraft in weather conditions
for which he was not rated. He was the only person on board the
airplane at the time of the accident.
New Executive Conference Room Fully Equipped, Available To

The Jacksonville, Florida, Aviation Authority (JAA) unveiled its
new Executive Conference Room at Jacksonville International Airport
(KJAX). The space will be available for individuals or groups
to rent for meetings.
Plans A "Pilot" Program With Selected Users Before
Certification
Avidyne this week offered what it called a "comprehensive"
update on the certification and delivery of Release 9.2 and the
DFC100 autopilot on a company message board.
The first application from FlightPrep for the Apple iOS platform
is iChart for the iPad. The iChart application allows pilots to
turn their Apple iPad into an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), giving
them access to Sectionals, Terminal Area Charts (TACs), Low
Enroutes, and Approach Plates.
