A well-known NW Aviator and a good friend to several of us at
ANN, Jim Londo (60), was lost this past weekend when a
weather-induced forced landing went bad. Jim was a major (and
delightful) personality in the Arlington area sport aviation
community and a true sport aviation advocate.
What's up with Renaissance Aircraft?
The Southeast Missourian reports the company's manufacturing plant
at Cape Girardeau Regional Airport, has locked its doors. Its
telephone has been disconnected. In fact, the paper reports company
president John Dearden's home number has been disconnected.

Sikorsky Aircraft has just announced an agreement to acquire
Schweizer Aircraft Corp., a privately owned US company specializing
in the light helicopter, reconnaissance aircraft, and unmanned
aerial vehicle (UAV) markets.
