New Version Of ForeFlight Supports ADS-B Device For iPad

In-Flight Weather Information From A Battery-Powered Receiver

The new version of ForeFlight offers support for the Stratus portable ADS-B weather receiver introduced last month. On its blog, ForeFlight says that the new version 4.5 supports all FIS-B products transmitted by the ADS-B network. This includes high resolution regional NEXRAD, CONUS NEXRAD, METARs, TAFs, winds aloft, PIREPs, SUA information, TFRs, and NOTAMs.

The FAA has granted an STC (SA02959NY) to MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH for the installation of a composite 4-blade scimitar propeller on the Piper PA-31P Navajos equipped with Lycoming TIGO-541-E series engines. The installation has also been certified by EASA.

R-22 Down In Connecticut Flown By State Representative

Woman Passenger Was Injured When The Helo Went Down

A Robinson R-22 flown by a Connecticut state legislator went down in a wooded area Saturday, resulting in the injury of his female passenger. The aircraft was being flown by Republican State Representative Bill Wadsworth, who reportedly sustained minor injuries in the accident.
