Piper Aircraft Inc. is one of the first manufacturers to adopt the most recent G1000 software supporting a three display avionics suite as standard equipment in new Twin-Class Piper Seneca V aircraft models available in 2013. The FAA has granted an SCT (#SA03249NY) to MT-Propeller Entwicklung for the next generation 5-blade scimitar composite propeller MTV-27-1-E-C-F-R(P)/CFR210-58d on the Piper PA31T (Cheyenne II),PA31T1 (Cheyenne 1, 1A), PA31T2 (Cheyenne IIXL) powered by Pratt and Whitney PT6A-11, PT6A-28 and PT6A-135, 135A Blackhawk modification engines. The installation is also certified by EASA (STC No.10038174) and by ANAC Argentina (STC #1212.42 (A)).

EASA Raises TBO For Austro Engine’s AE300 To 1,500 Hours

EASA has raised the Time Between Overhaul (TBO) for the Austro Engine AE300 170 hp turbocharged Jet-A1 and diesel engine to 1,500 hours. In less than a year, the agency has increased the TBO from 1,000 to 1,500 hours after an interim TBO of 1,2000 hours.
