Jacksonville Aviation Authority's Cecil Airport has been awarded the FAA Southern Region's 2011 General Aviation Airport Safety Award for its efforts in safety. This award was  based on the development and implementation of specific airport safety programs, and other accomplishments, that resulted in improved safety.
