A vote is scheduled March 15 for New Piper Aircraft workers to
decide if the local chapter of the International Association of
Machinists and Aerospace Workers will be decertified, after one
worker's petition was approved Friday by the National Labor
Relations Board in Tampa.
In the sad case of David Banach -- the New Jersey man who
pointed a laser into the cockpit of a Cessna bizjet as it
passed over his home on December 29, 2004 -- one thing seems clear:
he regrets the entire ordeal.
The teenage pilot who stole a Piper Cherokee earlier this month
and led authorities on a daring aerial chase has accepted a plea
agreement in a Murfreesboro, TN court.
