Aviation Students To Get Scholarships At Aero Club Dinner Nov. 20

Two High School And Four College Students Will Recieve A Total Of $25,000 Six outstanding local high school and college students will receive scholarship grants from the Aero Club of Southern California at a dinner at the Flight Path Museum at LAX on Wednesday, November 20. In addition eight pilots will receive certificates from the National Aeronautic Association for setting new climb and speed records in paragliders, jet liners, private planes and warbirds.

Kenneth L. Witcher has been named dean of the College of Aeronautics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide. In his nine years with the university, Witcher has served in several roles including adjunct faculty member, director of academics and program chair. As dean of the College of Aeronautics, he will lead nearly 50 full-time faculty and more than 900 active adjunct faculty who instruct courses online and at more than 150 Worldwide locations in the U.S. and abroad.
