A TFR that went into effect Sunday evening and which will be in place through Wednesday afternoon around Las Vegas, NV, has put pressure on Grand Canyon sightseeing companies operating in the area and closed some airports to GA altogether. The reason is a campaign trip to the city by President Obama leading up to the October 3 debate in Denver, CO.

As LightSquared continues to work its way through bankruptcy, the wireless broadband company has petitioned the FCC for approval of a plan it says will resolve the interference issues with deployed GPS receivers. Two Pilots Fatally Injured In The Accident

Two Indonesian pilots were fatally injured Saturday when the Swiss-made AS 202 Bravo airplane they were flying during the Bandung Air Show went down during the performance, impacting a building. No one on the ground was injured.
