World Aviation Authorities Agree To Reduce "Greenhouse Gas
Emissions" And Increase Fuel Efficiency
The FAA led a U.S. delegation in recent meetings at the
International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Montreal, which
resulted in an agreement that will guide the global aviation
community as it tackles the challenge of climate change.
Adds Revised True Flight Aerospace Critical Service
Bulletin
The FAA has issued a Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin
(SAIB) for True Flight Aerospace (Grumman American) Model AA-5
airplanes. The bulletin addresses an issue concerning the
horizontal stabilizer forward spar attachment and surrounding
structure in the aft fuselage area.
The aerospace school at the University of North Dakota suspended
flight operations for a day after a series of takeoff and landing
incidents at Grand Forks International Airport. Al Palmer, Director
of Flight Operations for the university, said the latest incident
involved a Piper Seminole twin which made a gear-up landing.
