Florida AG Says Town Of Grant-Valkaria Has No Jurisdiction Over
Airport
Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum (pictured, right) has
told the town of Grant-Valkaria in Brevard County that, though it
is "located within the jurisdictional boundaries of a
municipality," Grant-Valkaria airport "is not subject to the zoning
ordinances and regulations of the municipality."
An airport in rural south Georgia has been re-named for former
President Jimmy Carter, over the objections of some who were
opposed to the change. The New Georgia Encyclopedia online says
that Souther Field is the nation's oldest continuously operating
civilian airport.
The popular flight-tracking site FlightAware, which claims over
two million monthly users, released the first-ever free flight
tracking application for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. The app
became available Wednesday for free download via the Apple App
Store.
NAFI Says It Will "Vigorously And Adamantly Oppose" The
Move
A Motion for Preliminary Injunction has been filed to put a
halt to what is described in the motion as NAFI's unauthorized use
of Master Instructor Program-related intellectual property. The
motion was filed in the United States District Court for the
Central District of California on October 14.
