When tower controllers have received runway braking action reports which include the terms "poor" or "nil," or whenever weather conditions are conducive to deteriorating or rapidly changing runway braking conditions, the tower will include on the ATIS broadcast the statement, "BRAKING ACTION ADVISORIES ARE IN EFFECT."

NASA will delay its mission to the Hubble Space Telescope until next year, after the orbiting observatory suffered a failure of its command and data-handling system Saturday night. The problem lies with a transmission channel on the Hubble Control Unit/Science Data Formatter, one of many such systems used to relay data from Hubble to the ground, where it is assembled into images.
