Well, here's a bit of welcome news for a change! Oil prices slid
to four-month lows Monday, closing at $110 per barrel in London
trading as speculators showed confidence Hurricane Gustav
represented little threat to oil rigs and production facilities in
the Gulf of Mexico.

thrust from one pound of fuel. The higher the specific impulse, the
less fuel required to produce a given amount of thrust.
"Unfortunately, in attempting to address these
concerns, the FAA is proposing an approach that would
overcomplicate builders' attempts to comply with, and the FAA's
attempts to enforce, the 51% Rule. Our primary message to the FAA
is, 'Keep it simple.'"

other concerned pilots to express their views to FAA policymakers
in Washington, regarding the comment period on FAA proposals
regarding the agency’s interpretation and enforcement of the
"51% Rule," the requirement that amateur builders personally
perform at least 51 percent of the tasks in constructing their
aircraft.
