At Cessna Aircraft, “safety begins with a durable airframe.” Each airframe is stress-tested five times the aircraft’s standard lifetime; yet, Cessna’s renowned safety and reliability begins on the production line. State-of-the-art technology allows employees to create replicable, seamless assembly for each new aircraft on the line. In the second of his four-part series, Baker describes Cessna’s CJ4 mate and alignment tools to assure precision assembly for every aircraft on the production line.
An unmanned VHF/UHF transmitter/receiver facility which is used
to expand ARTCC air/ground communications coverage and to
facilitate direct contact between pilots and controllers. RCAG
facilities are sometimes not equipped with emergency frequencies
121.5 MHz and 243.0 MHz.
One of two committees in Washington (the other is
the companion committee in the Senate) that creates
the rules for TSA, which in turn affects so many of the things that
affect us as pilots. Certainly one that bears watching to stay
abreast of the issues that can influence our lives as aviators.
