Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee spoke out recently against
allegations David Martz, his friend and frequently his helicopter
pilot,
flew erratically and under the influence of alcohol in an
incident two weeks ago.
NEHA is the former National Broadcast Pilots Association (NBPA),
which was renamed as the National E-N-G Helicopter Association
(NEHA) in November 2008.
Flight at speeds well above the local velocity of sound. By
convention, hypersonic flight starts at about Mach 5 (five times
the speed of sound) and extends upward in speed indefinitely.
"You may be able in a manual mode to sense something
sooner than the autopilot can sense it."
Source: NTSB spokesman Steve Chealander, who
confirmed Sunday that downed Continental Express flight 3407 was
being flown on autopilot at the time of the crash, contrary to
normal procedures.
