Saker Aircraft Corp. Plans .99 Mach Two-Place Business Aircraft
Emerging luxury jet aircraft manufacturer Saker Aircraft Corporation has opened its order book for what it says is the aviation industry’s most advanced personal jet, the Saker S-1. If it reaches production, the company says it will be one of the world’s fastest and most efficient civilian aircraft available for purchase.
European And U.S.-Based Planes Available For Charter
Jet Aviation has added 23 aircraft to its global management fleet to date this year, three of which are available for charter. Jet Aviation continues to grow its service offerings to meet and exceed its clients’ demands. Since January, the company has grown its global aircraft management and charter fleet by 23 aircraft.
California Congressman Questions Effectiveness Of Voluntary Measures
A report released Friday by the FAA does not support additional regulations to address helicopter noise concerns of some Los Angeles residents, as well as the local Congressional delegation. The report, prepared at the request of the two Senators from California plus five House of Representative members from the affected communities, states that "(t)here is no single remedy that can be implemented on a large-scale basis throughout the Los Angeles Basin."
Says None Of The Companies In The Competition Met Minimum Requirements
The U.S. State Department has cancelled an RFP it had posted for a contract to produce UAVs for domestic surveillance. In 2011, the DoS had posted the Request for Proposals for the aircraft to provide real-time air surveillance of fixed installations, proposed movement routes and movement operations, and special events thereby improving security in high threat or potentially high threat environments.
