Life Flight's Westpac Rescue Helicopter Responds To Three Missions

Sunday should be a day of rest... unless you happen to be a helicopter rescue service. Yesterday (Sunday), a Life Flight Trust team in New Zealand had a busy Sunday with the helicopter responding to 3 missions. In the first mission at approximately 1000, Life Flight responded to a call from an injured hunter in the Orongaronga Valley to the south east of Wellington. The Westpac Rescue Helicopter, with a Wellington Free Ambulance paramedic onboard, was able to locate the hunter, a 47 year old Wellington man, on a steep hillside. Bell Helicopter Awarded Support Agreement For Iraqi Bell 407s

Contract To Support Training Aircraft For Iraqi Army Pilots

Bell Helicopter was awarded a contract by US Army Contracting Command, Redstone Alabama  for the procurement of contractor logistics support for 30 Bell 407 helicopters in service with the Iraqi Army. The award valued at more than $15 million allows Bell Helicopter to provide logistics support of 24 Bell 407 aircraft purchased by the Government of Iraq through the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program and six Bell 407 aircraft purchased by the US Army and supplied to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense at Al Taji Air Base in Iraq.

Two New Aircraft Part Of Fleet Modernization Program

AgustaWestland and Kanematsu Corporation are pleased to announce they have been awarded a contract by the Japan National Police Agency (JNPA) to supply two GrandNew law enforcement light twin helicopters as part of an on-going program to modernize the Police helicopter fleet. Tornado Targets Wichita

How Much Abuse Can Wichita Take?

Its the city that can't get a break... first the target of the White House's Hate/Hate relationship with business aviation, and then the victim of a bad economy, it seems like Wichita KS can't catch a break... not even from Mother Nature. A tornado swept through south Wichita on Saturday night, causing significant damage but apparently no major injuries. Boeing and Spirit AeroSystems took a direct hit, officials said, as did the Oaklawn neighborhood and a mobile home park.
