Representatives with Brazilian jetmaker Embraer told Aero-News
this week that if customers want one of the manufacturer's upcoming
Phenom 100 Very Light Jets, they now have until May 31, 2006 to
secure their slot at the announced launch price of $2.75 million.
As of June 1, the price will go up $100,000.
Fractional ownership company FractionAir, Inc. announced
Wednesday the discontinuation of its Diamond and BeechJet programs.
Representatives with FractionAir told Aero-News the company is
eliminating the programs in order to focus exclusively on its
Hawker 800A fractional private jet management program.
Over the last year, the FAA has been investigating aircraft
leases between air charter operators and aircraft owners, the use
of fictitious business names, and operational control systems. At
the April 18th briefing, the FAA will present information that will
impact all Part 135 air charter operators.
