2007 Was A Great Year For... EADS Socata’s TBM 850

Sales Reach The 150-Order Milestone

The EADS Socata’s TBM 850 program is reportedly ending a highly successful year with record sales backlog booked for 2008 and moving fast into 2009 along with production rate growth. Nicolas Chabbert, EADS Socata’s Vice President, Sales & Marketing, said that 60 TBM 850 aircraft were sold from its 2008 order book since the allocation was opened in early September of this year.

Alternative Water Tank Available for K-MAX Fire-Fighting Helicopters

Aerial firefighters operating Kaman K-MAX helicopters now have a new, highly efficient alternative water-drop system available for use when fighting forest and rangeland wild fires. The new system features a 700-gallon carbon fiber tank developed by Isolair, Inc., a Troutdale, Ore., based helicopter applications manufacturer, and Rainier Heli-lift, a Kirkland, Wash., operator of Kaman's K MAX medium-lift helicopters.
