A View From The Corporate Hangar From One Who’s Been There

Normally, I compose op-ed pieces for ANN concerning spaceflight. But not today. In the first Presidential debate on Wednesday night, October 3rd, the current President of the United States once again took a shot at “corporate jets.” When talking about Exxon and big oil the president chose to hold up general aviation executive aircraft as if they were a red flag pointing to part of what is wrong with America. This from someone who routinely, and in my opinion sometimes frivolously, makes use of the world’s most exclusive and America’s most expensive executive jet.

Learjet 45 XR First Jet Aircraft To Land At New Kansas Airport

Governor Sam Brownback Was On Board The Aircraft, Arriving For Dedication Ceremony

A Learjet 45 XR aircraft was officially the first jet to land at the newly dedicated Rooks County Regional Airport on September 29, according to a news release from Bombardier. Governor Sam Brownback was on hand to inaugurate the new airport which was built to accommodate business jet travelers.
