Aviation Industry Stars Unite To Launch Turbine Aircraft Remanufacturing Venture

First Project For The Aviation Alliance Is A Remanufactured Cessna 421

Highly regarded executives from business and military aviation have joined forces to offer remanufactured, modernized turbine-powered aircraft to the aviation and defense industries. The new enterprise, The Aviation Alliance, LLC will evaluate and select aircraft models to modify and act as general manager/contractor throughout the various modernization programs.

New Owner Will Fly The Airplane In A Charter Operation

The first King Air C90 to be powered by GE's H80 800 SHP engines has been delivered to its new owner by Smyrna Air Center in Smyrna, TN. A formal ribbon cutting and delivery presentation was held at Smyrna Air Center at Smyrna Airport (KMQY) in Smyrna Tennessee on Thursday December 20th, 2012. The ceremony was attended by Greg Ryan, Sales Director at GE Aviation.

Offering Potential Buyers An Opportunity To Fly The Eclipse 550 From February 8-11

Eclipse is coming to Orlando, FL, in a few short weeks and will have the Eclipse 550 twin-engine jet with them. The event will offer potential buyers the opportunity to see and fly what Eclipse describes as "the most technologically advanced light jet aircraft in general aviation."

B/K's Kevin Gould Provides Insight Into GA's Potential Future

At its Migration Flight Training Conference last October, the Redbird folks that their school has graduated 20 Private Pilots, as well as completed 18 instrument ratings, one multi-engine rating and one instrument instructor certificate. It took an average of 38 flight hours to complete the private pilot rating, which is less than two-thirds the national average. The same Redbird event provided an outstanding opportunity for some of aviation's visionaries to opine about the future of GA -- including Bendix/King Boss Kevin Gould.
