Helicopter Substantially Damaged, But No One Was Injured
Cold weather flight testing on a Polish-registered PZL Swidnik
SW-4 helicopter resulted in an accident but fortunately no
injuries. The testing proceeded to plan, but developed problems
with the controls after the hydraulic system was shut off. The
pilot was not able to overcome the control problems, and the
helicopter impacted the ground.
Will Serve As Base For "GoTeam" For Mobile Response
Dassault Falcon's newest Satellite Service Station recently
opened, one month ahead of schedule, at West Palm Beach Airport
(KPBI) in Florida. DAS - West Palm Beach is authorized by the FAA
to perform "A" inspections up to the "4A+" inspection on the Falcon
50, Falcon 2000 and Falcon 900 family of aircraft as well as the
Falcon 7X. EASA approval is expected within the next 30 days.
Operators can contact our DAS - Wilmington facility to schedule
their aircraft for maintenance.
Early Start Predicted For The 2012 Wildland Fire Season
Neptune Aviation is gearing up for the 2012 fire season through
an accelerated maintenance and training program, given predictions
of earlier than normal wildland fire out-breaks--particularly in
portions of the US Southwest. "The US Forest Service approached us
last fall, and asked that we have our aircraft available early,"
said Dan Snyder, President of the Missoula-based company.

airplanes sometimes need to be ... recycled ... for lack of a
better term. Such a process was recenly completed by Fort
Lauderdale-based AvWorks Aviation Corp, which successfully
dismantled and reclaimed parts of a Lear Jet 24 at Fort Lauderdale
Executive Airport.
