A maritime surveillance light aircraft is in development through
a collaboration between Multinational IT company Indra, Italian
aircraft manufacturer Tecnam, firms SELEX Galileo, FLIR Systems and
Remote Sensing and Sensor Integration company Airborne
Technologies.
JAA Board Approves Lease With West Virginia Aviation
Company
The Jacksonville (FL) Aviation Authority Board of Directors
Monday approved a lease with KCI Aviation for the construction of a
new 30,000-square-foot hangar facility at Cecil Airport. "We are
extremely excited to expand our operations to Jacksonville and
Cecil Airport," said Charles A. Koukoulis, president and CEO of KCI
Aviation. "Jacksonville has a great business-friendly environment,
and Cecil is truly a diamond in the rough."
Pilot Continued VFR Into IFR Conditions, Report Says
The NTSB has released its probable cause report from a medical
helicopter accident which occurred in Georgtown, SC in 2009. The
report is pretty straight forward, indicating that the pilot
continued VFR flight into IFR conditions. The result was,
unfortunately, one that is far too common in such instances.
