JAA Board Approves Lease With West Virginia Aviation Company

The Jacksonville (FL) Aviation Authority Board of Directors Monday approved a lease with KCI Aviation for the construction of a new 30,000-square-foot hangar facility at Cecil Airport. "We are extremely excited to expand our operations to Jacksonville and Cecil Airport," said Charles A. Koukoulis, president and CEO of KCI Aviation. NTSB Releases Probable Cause Report On 2009 Medical Flight Accident

Pilot Continued VFR Into IFR Conditions, Report Says

The NTSB has released its probable cause report from a medical helicopter accident which occurred in Georgtown, SC in 2009. The report is pretty straight forward, indicating that the pilot continued VFR flight into IFR conditions. The result was, unfortunately, one that is far too common in such instances.
