First Aircraft Now Expected To Go To ANA No Earlier Than
February Next Year
Boeing said Thursday that it now expects to deliver the
first 787 in the middle of the first quarter 2011. The delivery
date revision follows an assessment of the availability of an
engine needed for the final phases of flight test this fall.
Delta Connection Academy, which was acquired by Aerosim in
January of this year, has announced that the flight school will now
be known as Aerosim Flight Academy. Aerosim says the new name
solidifies the company's presence as a truly integrated entity in
the aviation industry.
Makes 1st Appearance in Italy, And Will Be Involved In Several
Tests
The Sukhoi Superjet 100 landed in Italy for the first time
Wednesday at Torino Caselle Airport, where it will continue
its flight certification program.
The FAA has proposed a $24.2 million civil penalty against
American Airlines Inc. for failing to correctly follow an
Airworthiness Directive involving the maintenance of its McDonnell
Douglas MD-80 aircraft. This civil penalty is the largest ever
proposed by the FAA.
Rolls-Royce filed an amended complaint Thursday alleging
infringement by United Technologies Corporation (UTC) of the
Rolls-Royce swept fan blade patent in the Federal Court for the
Eastern District of Virginia in the United States.
