American Eagle Pilots Tense As Negotiations Loom

Call On Management To "Do The Right Thing"

As pilot contract negotiations between American Eagle management and its pilots, represented by the ALPA resumed Monday, frustrated pilots called on management to "do the right thing" and take advantage of the remaining 21 days before the deadline for the end of scheduled bargaining on Sept. 12.  Although some progress has been made during the talks, which contractually can only last 150 days, the two parties are far apart on major issues, such as wage rates, retirement, insurance, and scheduling issues.

iPASS Teams With Boeing To Serve 500,000 Customers

Connexion by Boeing, a business unit of Boeing and iPass say they've formed an agreement to deliver iPass enterprise customers secure in-flight Wi-Fi Internet connectivity. Through the agreement iPass users will have access to the Connexion mobile Internet service through the iPass Global Broadband Roaming network. Now, enterprise IT managers and CIOs can provide their mobile workers with a near-seamless, high-speed wireless experience to manage their time at hotels, airports and now on airplanes – more productively. This agreement marks Connexion by Boeing’s first contracted Wi-Fi enterprise access provider.
