The Federal Aviation Administration and the City of Los Angeles
marked the completion of a $333 million renovation of the south
airfield at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) at a ceremony
held June 24. The renovation included the construction of a new
center taxiway that runs between the airfield's two parallel
runways.

A new, separate piece of legislation aimed at providing
significant relief for air passengers from extended on-board delays
was welcomed this week by Kate Hanni, Founder-President of the
Coalition for Airline Passengers' Rights, Health and Safety,
formerly Coalition for an Airline Passengers' Bill of Rights
(CAPBOR).
Boeing has welcomed Caribbean Airlines, Ltd., into the Boeing
737 Component Services Program (CSP), a materials management and
supply-chain solution designed to help airlines reduce costs,
enhance efficiency and improve spare parts availability.
