The Defense Department announced Monday charges have been sworn
against six detainees at Guantanamo Bay, alleged to be responsible
for the planning and execution of the September 11, 2001 terrorist
attacks against the United States. The government will seek the
death penalty for all six men.
We may be getting closer to the oft-rumored joining of Delta Air
Lines and Northwest Airlines in the state of merged operations.
According to two sources close to the talks, both sides shared
details of a proposed merger agreement this weekend to their
respective pilots unions.
Calling the airline's plans to launch a new transatlantic
subsidiary a "Trojan Horse" that will lead to reduced salaries,
pilots at British Airways appear increasingly likely to strike
within the next two weeks... a move that could spell trouble for
thousands of passengers over the upcoming Easter holiday
weekend.
Aero-News has learned Brazilian planemaker Embraer recently
signed a firm order with JJH Capital, owned by Juan José
Hidalgo, President of Air Europa and Globalia, for six Embraer 195
jets, plus purchase rights for another six aircraft.
