Aloha Airlines Says... Well, You Know... To Chapter 11

Court Approves Plan To Exit Bankruptcy By Mid-February

Continuing on the path first blazed last month by United Airlines, Hawaii's Aloha Airlines has been granted permission to exit bankruptcy. Thursday, US Bankruptcy Judge Robert Faris approved modifications to a Plan of Reorganization that clears the way for Aloha to exit bankruptcy protection by mid-February.

No Safety Issues, FAA Violations Found

Representatives with Airlift Northwest, the Seattle-based emergency air medical transportation operator, told Aero-News last week the results of an external safety audit conducted by R. Dixon Speas Associates, Inc., a national aviation consulting firm based in Lexington, MA.
