Order Totalling $300 Million Takes Lufthansa's CFM56-Powered
Fleet To More Than 200 Aircraft
Deutsche Lufthansa has selected the CFM56-5B to power 21 Airbus
A320 and two Airbus A321 aircraft in a firm engine order valued at
approximately $300 million U.S. at list prices. The companies
announced the agreement jointly on Tuesday.
Network Expands As Shell’s Joint Venture in India Signs

Shell Aviation (SAV) has announced that it is expanding its
operations into 12 airports across India to provide airlines fuel
at airports located in the cities of Mumbai, Goa, Chennai, Calicut,
Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Coimbatore, and
Mangalore.
Pact Covers Clerical, Office, And Passenger Service
Personnel
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace
Workers (IAM), District 143, today announced a tentative agreement
with Alaska Airlines that covers the carrier’s 2,600
Clerical, Office and Passenger Service (COPS) employees.
The first production leading edge spar component – an
outer spar – for the Airbus A350 XWB program has been shipped
from Kinston, NC to Prestwick, Scotland.
