International-North America, commended the Department of
Transportation (DOT) for issuing a new rule providing protections
for passengers experiencing extended delays Monday.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood has announced a new
rule that significantly strengthens protections afforded to
consumers by, among other things, establishing a hard time limit
after which U.S. airlines must allow passengers to deplane from
domestic flights.
Here's one that even USA Today will have a hard time complaining
about, since it involves a major airport with significant
commercial traffic. The FAA has awarded a grant to Port Columbus
Airport in Columbus, Ohio to replace the facility's south runway,
parts of which date back to 1928.
