Honeywell has received FAA certification for its Nitrogen
Generation System (NGS) for Boeing’s 747 airplanes. The
Honeywell NGS or inerting system is based on technology that
reduces the risk of flammability of a fuel tank by injecting
nitrogen-enriched air into the aircraft’s fuel tank.
Pilot representatives of the Air Line Pilots Association,
International, the union that represents Delta pilots, and Delta
Air Lines management have reached a tentative interim agreement
that delays hearings on management’s request to reject the
pilot contract through the bankruptcy section 1113(c) process.
With a damaged Southwest 737 (Flt 1248) barely having been moved
off the runway, the fight for the hearts and minds of potential
