Frontier Airlines has appointed Amit Agarwal as chief information officer of the Denver-based carrier. Frontier also announced the departure of Cliff Van Leuven, the airline’s vice president of customer service since 2004, on Tuesday. Jan Fogelberg, currently Frontier’s vice president of commercial technology, will assume the role of vice president of customer service.

Loose Seats Reported On A Third AA 757

A third American Airlines 757 has been found to have loose seats during a flight, causing the airline to pull additional aircraft from service. In all, the airline says 47 airplanes were temporarily grounded while their seat attachments were checked.

Boeing and GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) have finalized a firm order for 85 737s, which includes 75 737 MAX 8s and 10 Next-Generation 737-800s. The order, first announced as a commitment at the Farnborough Airshow in July, allows for up to 15 additional 737-800s. The order is worth $6 billion at list prices.
