Full Flight Testing Expected To Resume By End Of The Week
After additional delays due to an electrical fire aboard one of
their test aircraft, Boeing has again revised its delivery timeline
for the Dreamliner. The company announced Tuesday that it expects
delivery of the first 787 Dreamliner to take place in the third
quarter of this year.
Virgin America has place a firm order for 60 new Airbus A320
aircraft to be delivered starting in 2013, including 30 of the
A320neo aircraft – the first commercial order for the new
eco-efficient engine option. One of the airplanes ordered is
the 10,000th placed with Airbus.

The European planemaker Airbus says 2010 was a record year for
deliveries of aircraft, with 510 commercial aircraft handed over to
94 customers, 19 of which were new.
Aircraft ground support equipment (GSE) manufacturer AERO
Specialties announced the outright purchase of Australia based
JetGo International late last week. JetGo produces
an innovative line of diesel-electric hybrid ground power
units (GPU).
