The first every X Prize Cup is scheduled to make its October debut in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The event, scheduled to take place October 6th to 9th will showcase spacecraft prototypes, rocket planes, and numerous demonstrations and launches.

Weather A Factor?

The launch countdown clock began at 1800 EDT Sunday at the T-43 hour mark counting down toward a launch of Space Shuttle Discovery on mission STS-114 on Wednesday at 1551. The launch control team members are in firing room 3 of the Launch Control Center at NASA's Kennedy Space Center and will be monitoring their system consoles.
