The Canadian Space Agency has publicly demonstrated its next generation of rovers for space exploration. On Friday, the rovers performed robotic demonstrations at the CSA's analogue testing terrain, the largest of its kind in the world, which replicates the surface of the Moon or Mars.
The head of Orbital Sciences Corporation says that he expects the first Antares rocket will launch from Wallops Island in Virginia before the end of the year, but a lot depends on fueling and engine tests slated to get underway next week.
Prize Of Up To $1.5 Million Considered For Successful Demonstrations
NASA is looking at the possibility of awarding up to $1.5 million in its Centennial Challenge Program for the development of solutions for integrating unmanned aircraft into the National Airspace System. The open prize competitions would directly engage the public, academia, and industry.
