NASA Joins ESA's 'Dark Universe' Mission

Euclid Telescope Designed To Investigate Dark Matter And Dark Energy

NASA has officially joined ESA’s Euclid mission, a space telescope designed to investigate the mysterious natures of dark matter and dark energy. To be launched in 2020, Euclid’s 1.2 m-diameter telescope and two scientific instruments will map the shape, brightness and 3D distribution of two billion galaxies covering more than a third of the whole sky and looking back over three-quarters of the history of the Universe.

NASA 'What If?' Design Challenge Underway

Space Agency, Ahoora Foundation Unite To Ignite Students' Passion For Science, Space, And Technology

Candy, soda and other everyday items will be the tools of the trade for teenage rocket makers competing in the What If? Live Student Design Challenge, which was kicked off Tuesday by NASA and the Ahoora Foundation of Plano, TX. Registration is open through Feb. 28 for the worldwide contest, in which 14- to 18-year-old students will design experimental propulsion systems using materials that are cheap and easily obtainable.
