Interactive Exhibits Show What Life Is Like Aboard ISS
Arizonans can get a sense of what spaceflight is like following the opening of NASA's Destination Station exhibit at the Arizona Museum of Natural History in Mesa. The interactive exhibit reveals the inside of America's orbiting laboratory while educating visitors about the vast array of science and research being done in low-Earth orbit.
The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope has provided images of the heart of the barred spiral galaxy NGC 1097. This face-on galaxy, lying 45 million light-years away from Earth in the southern constellation of Fornax (The Furnace), is particularly attractive for astronomers. NGC 1097 is a Seyfert galaxy. Lurking at the very center of the galaxy, a supermassive black hole 100 million times the mass of our sun is gradually sucking in the matter around it.
But Hurdles Such As Limited State Resources And Environmental Concerns Could Stymie The Project
In November of 2011, SpaceX said it was looking for a site on which to build a new launch facility. In April, 2012, SpaceX said it was considering a launch site in Texas, and in September the commercial space company bought land in Cameron County, TX along the Gulf of Mexico on the Mexican border.
