First Time Agency Has Chosen A Commercial Company For Task
This week, NASA selected Zero Gravity Corporation to manage and
operate an aircraft to perform parabolic flights for NASA-operated
experiments and personnel... the first time the space agency has
chosen a commercial operator for that task, and a key milestone for
NASA's parabolic operations, which have been previously operated
using government aircraft and personnel.
AeroVironment's Wasp III Micro Vehicle Selected By USAF
AeroVironment, Inc. announced this week the United States Air
Force BATMAV (Battlefield Air Targeting Micro Air Vehicle) program
has received Milestone C approval, and authorization for full rate
production.
The National Coalition for Aviation Education (NCAE) announced
this week the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) has
become the first major sponsor of the 2008 National Conference on
Aviation and Space Education (NCASE), "Today's Students: Tomorrow's
Aerospace Workforce".
