Canaveral (FL) after getting "lost in a cloud bank" during a
The pilot, Bryant Rals of Guyton (GA), realized where he was and
quickly changed course. By that time, however, NASA aircraft had
intercepted his plane and followed him to St Augustine (FL), where
he was greeted by Sheriff's Deputies from St. Johns County.
At the request of the FBI, the deputies interviewed the pilot
and passed on the results to the agency as well as to the FAA.
News4 Jacksonville reported that authorities believe the violation
was entirely accidental.
