Flightcell DZM Launches New Control Device For Inflight Communications

Remote Head Slaves To Master DMZ System

Flightcell International is launching their new Flightcell DZM remote head at NBAA 2012. The Flightcell DZM Remote head provides users of the Flightcell DZM2 and DZM3 satellite communications systems the opportunity to control their Iridium and cellular voice, data and tracking functions from multiple, remote locations.

The remote head is of particular interest to users who have limited space for a Satcom system in the cockpit, and for users who have a need for dual or multiple access points to the on-board Satcom system. Acting as a full slave to the master DZM system, the menus and push button functions directly replicate the master unit to provide full operational functionality at a second location.

The Flightcell DZM remote head also comes with the now well established Flightcell DZM credentials. Built for a long life and for use in harsh uncompromising environments and environmentally sealed to IP 54, this compact head is ready for business, commercial, civilian and military use. The slimline DZM remote head comes with full capability to activate all of Flightcell DZM’s comprehensive voice, data and tracking functions.

Flightcells DZM3 System is the worlds most compact Iridium voice and data system. The entire satellite phone  system operates from a single control head and dual antenna. As a result the unit is perfect for business aircraft with limited accessible avionic space, particularly turbo prop and light jet. Integration of a cabin handset is straightforward and user friendly, providing a cabin and cockpit voice option at significantly lower material and installation costs.
