Beta Technologies’ eVTOL Aircraft To Land At UPS Facilities

UPS, together with its UPS Flight Forward subsidiary, has reported plans to purchase electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft from Beta Technologies (BETA) to augment its air service for select small and mid-size markets. These aircraft will take off and land on-property at UPS facilities in a whisper-quiet fashion, reducing time-in-transit, vehicle emissions, and operating cost.

Sean Elliott, EAA's vice president of advocacy and safety, was among the general aviation association leaders who on Monday participated in the FAA's GA Town Hall Meeting that focused on the changes to the GA community because of COVID-19. Western Global Pilots Vote to Join ALPA

WG Freighter Fleet Consists Of MD-11s and B-747-400Fs

The National Mediation Board (NMB) has certified ALPA as the bargaining representative for the 180 pilots of Western Global Airlines. The certification took place after the NMB announced that a strong majority of Western Global pilots voted for ALPA. With 93 percent of eligible pilots participating in the election, 69 percent voted in favor of joining. “The dedication and professionalism of Western Global pilots during this representation election was impressive,” said ALPA President Capt. ODALS-Omnidirectional Approach Lighting System Consists of seven omnidirectional flashing lights located in the approach area of a nonprecision runway. Five lights are located on the runway centerline extended with the first light located 300 feet from the threshold and extending at equal intervals up to 1,500 feet from the threshold.
