Bell Appoints Air Service International

Bell is adding its first Authorized Maintenance Center (AMC) in Denmark and the second AMC in Europe. Air Service International A/S is located in Billund, Denmark and the new facility will provide maintenance for the Bell 206A/B, 206L and 505. "Bell will support Air Service International to provide the necessary resources to support customers and their aircraft maintenance needs," said Duncan Van De Velde, Managing Director, Europe & Russia. Flights Demo SeaGuardian Capabilities in Maritime Environments

GA-ASI has concluded a set of maritime test flights over the sea-lanes off the coast of Southern California on September 11th, using the MQ-9B SeaGuardian Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS). This was the first MQ-9B configured for surveillance operations over open-water, and served to demonstrate MQ-9B capabilities in the maritime environment. “The SeaGuardian’s debut demonstrated persistent situational awareness in the maritime domain for our customers,” said Linden Blue, CEO, GA-ASI. L3Harris Technologies tells ANN that it will lead a team to help transform the US Air Force’s flight simulator training used to help develop skilled air crews. The L3Harris team – including CAE USA, CymSTAR, Dell Technologies and Leidos – will support the Air Force’s Simulators Common Architecture Requirements and Standards (SCARS) program, which will integrate and standardize the service’s aircraft training simulators. On September 2, 2020, at 1213 mountain daylight time, a Titan Mustang T-51 airplane, N153JW, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Brighton, Colorado. The pilot was fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) data indicated that the pilot departed at 1157 and proceeded about 10 miles east before returning to the airport. The pilot appeared to execute a takeoff and landing before entering a right-hand traffic pattern.
