Large-Cabin, Mid-Range Business Jet On Track For Customer Deliveries in 2011

Hot on the heels of the Savannah, GA G650 debut, Gulfstream Aerospace and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) rolled out the all-new, super mid-size Gulfstream G250 at Ben Gurion International Airport in Israel Tuesday. The large-cabin, mid-range G250 remains on schedule for customer deliveries in 2011.

Three Law Enforcement Airborne Units Will Benefit

During the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) convention in Denver, Colorado, Tuesday, the Airborne Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (ALEAC) accepted a $10,000 donation from American Eurocopter. Pilot Avoided Houses, Crash Landed In A School Sports Field

Allister Freeman, a pilot for SA Airlink, died Tuesday two weeks after he made an emergency landing on Merebank Secondary School’s sports field, impacting a concrete barricade at the school. Four people were injured in the incident. Three were on the aircraft. A municipal worker on the ground was also injured.

Steve Masters Summarizes the Farewell to the Bend, Oregon Community

On the weekend of August 28th, 2009, Lancair/Columbia/Corvalis 300/350/400 owners arrived in Bend, Oregon for the final Bend Reunion Fly-In. The bittersweet gathering followed Cessna’s difficult decision on April 29th of this year to close the former Columbia facility and move all factory operations to Wichita, Kansas in response to the harsh economic climate. Steve Masters, President of the Cessna Advanced Aircraft Club, explained that the reunion provided owners with one last opportunity to show support and gratitude for the Bend community before the move.
