Due to the success of last year's DiamondFest, Diamond Aircraft
is again this year inviting owners of Diamond airplanes to the
London, Ontario factory for DiamondFest 2005, June 23 through 25,
2005.
The Gary/Chicago International Airport got a boost Thursday when
the FAA approved plans for airport expansion. The proposed plans
include an extension of the main runway, runway area safety
enhancements, expanding the terminal and other changes needed to
accommodate larger aircraft and future levels of passenger
traffic.
Twelve pilots asked the Supreme Court to review their challenge
of the "Age 60" rule that has been in effect for more than 40
years. Southwest Airlines will provide some backup, by filing a
friend of the court brief according to a report in TIME. The pilots
are seeking a waiver to enable them to keep flying.
The last thing he remembered was seeing the lights of Detroit
Lakes, MN in the distance. The next thing he knew, he was in a
cornfield, injured, alone in the darkness and unable to move.
Failure of an unmanned QF-4E drone to react properly to
controller inputs led to its intentional destruction during a
mission Sept. 8 over White Sands Missile Range near Holloman Air
Force Base, N.M., according to an Air Force report released March
18.
