Perdue Aviation Offering Aviation Safety Events

Webinars And In-Person Lectures Help Pilots Identify And Mitigate Risk

Southwest Tennessee CFI David Perdue Jr. has a couple of events on the calendar for the week after Thanksgiving.

One is  a condensed, interactive seminar (live webinar) based on the Human Factors course that were taught to Fortune 500 companies for several years. Perdue says the webinar is appropriate for all pilots and all experience levels to help 'Fly Safer – Live Longer' which also happens to be the title of his program. The focus of the webinar is on identifying & mitigating risk.

In an e-mail to ANN, Perdue said "I use real world experience and practical tips and gloss over the academic aspect like the FAA and many others promote."

On the website, Perdue says that those who participate in the webinar will come away with a significant increase in their ability to identify Risk factors, as well as a better understanding of how to control risk.  Other benefits include improved situational awareness (SA), better airmanship skills and decision-making while flying, and the knowledge to help them better determine the levels of risk, all with a goal of improving safety.

The webinar will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2012 1900-2100 CST and costs $49.00. The November 29 seminar "Avoiding Loss of Control - Aviation Risk, Situation Awareness, and Decision Making" is offered through the FAASTeam in Nashville, TN in the Gassaway Building at Nashville International Airport at 1900 CST.
