The bankruptcy of Aha! airlines and its parent company, Georgia-based ExpresJet, has grounded a fleet of five Embraer ERJ145 regional jets and the crews who flew them. Piedmont Airlines has announced that it will provide employment-relief to the newly displaced ExpressJet airmen under the distressed carrier provision of its ALPA-negotiated pilot contract. DJI has unveiled their newest drone, breaking the mold with a compact, sharp little unit geared towards agile, quick recording wherever necessary. The Avata breaks from the usual convention among drones, opting to enclose all 4 electric rotors within an arrangement of rings directly underneath the fuselage. That small

French Gov to Dissuade Private Jet Usage

Transport Minister Says Macron Gave Green Light on Climate Change Proposals to Curb Private Aviation

Hold your nose... another poltician knows what's good for the rest of us, though his errant assumptions seem pretty questionable. Clement Beaune, French transport minister, has hinted at upcoming regulations around private jet use in the country as a way to dissuade the emissions amid a greater push for green transportation. Beaune mentioned that he had already been given the go-ahead by Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne and President Emmanuel Macron to make real, actionable proposals to curb private aviation in the country. Private jets will be on the agenda at an upcoming meeting of European ministers next October.

Hartzell Spun Up for Continuing Success

Hartzell—the Ohio-based manufacturer of composite and aluminum propellers for all manner of aircraft—is readying itself for the rise of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and the fielding of myriad air-vehicles that promise to return the propeller to prominence. The rise of the gas-turbine—read jet—engine in the 1940s heralded the propeller’s relegation to antiquity. Within the military and business aviation sectors, propeller-driven aircraft clung tenaciously to relevance, evolving into the C-130s, A400Ms, and King Airs by which modern-day troops and executives are shut
