With only one day left of the much anticipated SnF21 event, we are hearing that Saturday achieved a record attendance in Sun n Fun’S 47 year history! Thousands of people came to Lakeland to see the Blue Angels execute precision maneuvers in the sky in their new Super Hornets, and let me tell you, they didn’t disappoint.. This Event Is Free And Open To The Public

W&R Vets will host the largest birthday tribute of 2021 to celebrate World War II paratrooper Jim “Pee Wee” Martin’s 100th Birthday. The event will be at Skydive Greene County on Saturday, April 24, 2021. Three historic aircraft will fly over with a mass parachute drop to honor Martin, a paratrooper who jumped on D-Day as part of the 101st Airborne Division. The aircraft participating include, C-47 Placid Lassie of the Tunison Foundation, C-47 That’s All Brother and C-53 D-Day Doll are owned and operated by the Commemorative Air Force (CAF).

Gulfstream's G700 aircraft dedicated to testing the cabin experience has flown for the first time and now joins the five other test aircraft already in the certification program. The fully outfitted aircraft took off Thursday and flew 3 hours and 36 minutes, reaching an altitude of 48,000 feet and a top speed of Mach 0.935. NTSB Prelim: Vans RV7

Switched Fuel Tanks And Shortly After, The Engine Began To Sputter

On July 26, 2020, about 1110 mountain daylight time, a Vans RV7, N514BS, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Henefer, Utah. The pilot sustained minor injuries. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The pilot reported that during an uneventful flight, at an altitude of about 10,000 ft mean sea level, he switched fuel tanks and shortly after, the engine began to sputter. The pilot turned on the electric fuel boost pump and switched the fuel selector valve to the original position, and the engine began to operate normally.

Contaminated Runway A runway is considered contaminated whenever standing water, ice, snow, slush, frost in any form, heavy rubber, or other substances are present. A runway is contaminated with respect to rubber deposits or other friction-degrading substances when the average friction value for any 500-foot segment of the runway within the ALD fails below the recommended minimum friction level and the average friction value in the adjacent 500-foot segments falls below the maintenance planning friction level.
