In the wake of a tragic balloon accident that occurred near Maxwell, Texas, which took 16 lives, the Balloon Federation of America has created what they’re calling the 2016 BFA/FAA Action Plan. This extensive plan addresses new numerous aspects of balloon operation. In a press release from the BFA, they say that in the last few years the BFA has, through its Professional Ride Operator’s Division, developed a suite of Best Practices designed to establish a common operational foundation for all major ride operators.
