Airborne 07.06.15: Solar Impulse In Hawaii, FAA Reauth Delayed, Airlines Investigated

Even those of us who love flying will have to admit that being cramped into a single place cockpit for 5 days in an aircraft that is lucky to hit 50 miles per hour has got to be pushing the limits of having a good time. That’s exactly what Pilot Andre Borschberg had done when he landed the solar-powered Solar Impulse 2 airplane at Kalaeloa Airport, Hawaii last Friday. The flight from Japan lasted 118 hours and covered about 5,144 miles across the Pacific Ocean.
